Next week, drivers travelling through the Mont Blanc Tunnel on the French-Italian border should expect a series of night-time closures. This is due to scheduled technical works, which will be carried out overnight to minimise the impact on daytime traffic.

The Mont Blanc Tunnel remains one of the most important transit links between France and Italy. Night-time closures have a significant impact on road haulage and logistics in the Alpine region, especially for hauliers involved in international transport.

Schedule of night-time closures in April 2026 Full closures of the Mont Blanc Tunnel are planned on the following dates:

  • 13 April (Monday) from 22:00 until 14 April (Tuesday) 06:00,
  • 14 April (Tuesday) from 22:00 until 15 April (Wednesday) 06:00,
  • 15 April (Wednesday) from 22:00 until 16 April (Thursday) 06:00,
  • 16 April (Thursday) from 22:00 until 17 April (Friday) 06:00.

During these hours the tunnel will be completely closed, meaning there will be no passage for either passenger cars or trucks.
